Mental Case Lite 2.0 Now Available
Update: The full version of Mental Case 2.0 for iPhone is now available.
Several months in development, Mental Case Lite 2.0 for iPhone and iPod touch today made its debut in the iTunes App Store. Mental Case Lite is a free upgrade to Mental Case 1.0 for iPhone/iPod touch, and features a much improved user interface, and the ability to browse and search — but not download from — FlashcardExchange.com.
Mental Case Lite is the little brother of Mental Case 2.0 for iPhone/iPod touch, which is still in the App Store submission process. Mental Case is almost identical to Mental Case Lite, but allows you to add and edit notes on the iPhone, and sync them back to your Mac. It also allows you to download flashcards directly to your iPhone from FlashcardExchange.com, which means even Linux and Windows users now have a means of transferring cards to Mental Case on their iPhone. The full edition of Mental Case will be priced at $7.99, and should be available in the App Store shortly.

Version 1.4 Brings iPhone Support
Version 1.4 of Mental Case has been released in preparation for the new Mental Case iPhone app, which should appear in the coming week or so. We have finished development on Mental Case for iPhone 1.0, and submitted it to Apple for approval. Assuming all goes well, it should be available via the iTunes App Store shortly.
In the meantime, Mental Case 1.4 has a new item in the File menu for syncing with the iPhone which will not be very useful. Just ignore it, and be rest assured that it's day will come...

Pricing Changes
Today we simplified pricing of Mental Case somewhat. Many of our customers are students, and receive the education discount. This led to more administrative work for us, and inconvenience for users, so we have decided to do away with the education discount for students and academics. To compensate this change, we are reducing the price of a Mental Case license from $39 to $25, for all new users. (School teachers can still get Mental Case for free.)
Beta Testers Wanted
Mental Case will be undergoing some major changes in the coming months, and we would like to make sure everything goes smoothly. To help us in our quest, we would like to engage a number of enthusiastic Mental Case users to help beta test releases before they go out to the public. If you fall into this category, and would like to contribute, please send an email to info@mentalcase.maccoremac.com.
