Mental Class Replaces Mental Case Lite

The Mental Faculty is proud to announce that Mental Case Classroom Edition for iPhone and iPod touch has been submitted to Apple, and should be available shortly in the iTunes App Store.

Mental Case Classroom Edition, or Mental Class for short, is designed specifically for use by a teacher and students in a classroom environment. A teacher creates notes and cases, packs them into a zip archive, and makes them available online. Students can download and import that content directly to their iPhone or iPod touch. Best of all, Mental Class will be free.

Mental Class makes use of a new study card format called studyarch. You will soon be able to generate study archives directly in Mental Case on the Mac, but you can also just create them by hand with a text editor and compression tool. See our how-to for more info.

Just as Mental Class is introduced, Mental Case Lite has been removed from the App Store. The price of the full edition has been dropped over the past few months, and is now at a point where continued development of Mental Case Lite is not worth our while. You can currently get the complete edition of Mental Case for $2.99 (or less).
