This is a request we have heard before. It is really a question of cluttering the interface. One option would be to toggle the count when shift is pressed. May be a good solution.

Drew, I agree that it would awesome to be able to know the number of notes within a deck that are in the lesson. One suggestion is to follow the formatting used in programs such as Todo by Appigo. They have a "split" number, which indicates the total number of items in a category, and the number of due items. Perhaps this style could be used in Mental Case? Thanks!

Yes, good suggestion. We have considered this in the past. We may go this way in a future release.
